My second large custom perpetual plaque which had to match existing perpetual plaques made by someone else.
This is a 5 foot x 3 1/2 foot custom perpetual plaque that contains 243 plastic plates with beveled edges measuring 1 3/4" x 4" as well as one plastic header plate.
The board is plywood with a walnut veneer. Woodworking was done by MJF Woodworking.
Since we didn't have a CNC machine available I used our laser engraver to cut out an acrylic template to drill the holes into the board.
The gold plates & the header plate were laser engraved.
It took me approx 7 hrs to screw all the plates onto the board and 3 1/2 hrs to bevel the plates. I'm guessing I spent approx 30+ hrs total between research, coming up with the plaque layouts final production.
